I really love love loved these well written, revealing and relatable stories on dating for the modern woman however, I must warn that this writer is not for the fainthearted, prudish or pretentious Her writing style is very raw, real, and uninhibited, giving us all the juicy and unfiltered details, as expected from a great reading experience This book was a fresh approach to the stream of consciousness writings about relationships, basically Sex and the City stories written by a black woman, but relatable to all women Carrie Bradshaw s wit and Samantha s bawdiness are delivered in one package, a one woman cast of SATC This book had me laughing out loud so many times She exposes her vulnerabilities and shares her frustrations with finding a man in a metropolis, which has its own share of woes Outside of her dating escapades, she also focuses on finding herself within these pages, something that so many females forget to do She brings it back home at the end, letting the reader know that through her journey of finding love, the true measure is love for oneself Also, at the end of the book, I loved that she briefly touched on the topic of low self esteem women who define themselves through their mates, glimmers of a modern day Feminista This book was written in a very strong, moving, hilarious and captivating voice I am looking forward to reading work by this author hopefully a follow up to this book I am not sure that this will happen, being that she seems to have found happiness with herself and a man in the last chapter This is a Must Read if you want to explore the mind of a creative, intriguing and comical woman In my Wendy Williams voice, she s my friend in my head.

Would I recommend this book Most Definitely To Whom All my educated and genteel girlfriends who could quickly flip the script and give their gritty side, a trait deftly demonstrated by this author By reading the title, The Chronicles of a Crazy Chick, I expected nothing cerebral, just a zany chicklit book to help me unwind on a solitary and relaxing Friday night, along with my glass of Cabernet This book lived up to my exact expectation

This book definitely lived up to the author s back of the cover description It was a real page turner As I was reading the book, I laughed out loud to myself and felt like I was inside the writer s head I appreciated the ending as the writer finds herself and admits to her follies in life and relationships.
